Super Robot genre is kinda funny

I mean classic super robot. Most of them are build as separated few machines and then combine into one big Super Robot! Like Go Lion, Voltes V, Getter Robo, Goshogun

Now i think about it.  It's kinda funny, because in the end they always combine to take on the bad monster. Then why it build separated? Why not build it one robot from the start? Haha..

I understand when they combine together looks cool and appealing, also there is philosopical thing from it. But now as an adult i find it 'not very efficient'

I think power rangers did it correctly as they could swap out some parts for more stronger ones for better attacks, but yeah silly to have them in pieces.
