Well in some anime intelligent did matter, one example HxH, battle in HxH sometimes involved strategi that required intelligent, example.. Gon vs Genthru and Hisoka vs Chrollo
And for historical genre like Kingdom is also matter a lot, it's about war, in pre-modern war, brain usually win against brawn
