I've found 1 person at my work and a bunch of people i knew through music that like anime
One band i manage even bases their merch and videos round some anime haha
 
I like that it’s more mainstream, half of my workplace are weabs. 10 years ago, any weabs I saw IRL were all the people you didn’t want to associate with.

and i am glad to hear that. i am sure they can get even more popularity that way
 
I like how it is
Mainstream is all complicated and hypothetical to many people. If you like something, then it's got good rating in your list. You need to care only about that
 
yeah but people wouldn't accept just that
and everyone wants their own favorite anime to make it to the mainstream anime list lol
