Some people don't watch certain anime because of it's fanbase. Do you like it?

what do you think?
i am sure the fanbase got nothing to do with anime being enjoyable. so i don't get it lol
 
With the annoying fandom, for me it’s more of the in your face overexposure that makes it off putting.

If I was already really interested in it, it’s easy for me to ignore the fanbase, but if I was on the fence, the annoying nature of it being shoved in your face does the opposite.

and i agree to it as well. sometimes, i do watch anime in secret just to see what's so great about it and i would never say anything about watching in front of those annoying fans lol

I treat it like spoilers, like if I spoil myself it’s cool, but the annoying fans are like that guy who shows up and said “so and so died in Walking Dead last night”.

you are right spoilers can kill our mood and our inclination to watch the show.

They remind me of Sheen from Jimmy Neutron who didn’t shut up about Ultralord.

I got into some stuff that had annoying fans because years went by without the overexposure.

oh i see
and after encountering them we usually ignore them completely or leave that community. happened to me as well and i got really mad when people spoiled death note ending for me before.

Tbh I saw the ending for Death Note a mile away. I would have been more surprised that Light won.

i didn't expect the death of the mighty you know who
and that got me made and it's a big surprise for me as well. and they spoiled it for me.

I feel there’s a time period for spoilers. If it’s super close to release, then it’s pretty douchy, but if it’s been like 10+ years, it’s on you.

it was way back then
and i was very sensitive at that time. now, i don't mind any anime spoilers at all.

Someone got mad at me for spoiling the Final Fantasy VII remake, I was like “dude, the game’s 23 years old”

You’d have to have some crazy expectations to expect spoiler free discussion from a 20 year old game that’s THAT famous.

What's the point when you are not even going to discuss and it's not some bad secret to have.
