Since piracy is out of control right now, why don't they just released anime for free

Since piracy is out of control right now, why don't they just released anime for free with using ADS?
So, what do you feel about it? Or do you think they need to get the control back?

but ads are just too much lol and people will get tired of anime soon after that. so i wouldn't recommend it.
