Should an anime be perfectly logical to be good or even a masterpiece?

What's your take on this?
Do you need an anime to make perfect sense to refer it as a masterpiece?

Not really, but it has to make sense in the context of the show. If it's an absurdist style comedy, then anything goes. If it's left field for the show, then that just becomes annoying.
