So today I finished season 1, 2 and 3 of the Sengoku Basara Anime Series, which is based on Capcom's popular hack and slash video games.
Overall the series is very enjoyable, has loving characters that you can get behind and balances flashy fights with good humor to keep you watching. Unfortunately the anime seasons do and don't really follow each other. People killed in season one seem to be dead in season 2, but suddenly show up. Then season 3 is kind of a do over where it mostly just sticks to historical events as to how they happen instead of switching it up in past seasons.
The one thing I liked most about this was the music, the openings by T.M Revolution are amazing and 'This is a fight to change the world' song really gets you hyped up for battles.
Like I said though, if you enjoy the first two seasons, you may not like the third season that gets kind of redone in a way. If you do like the first two seasons though, you will love the anime's movie Last Party.
My only gripe is that this series has a lot of characters to play with and instead of these do overs they could easily go with a very long season trying to focus and use all these side characters. I hope if this gets a 4th season, they go that route.
