Reusable characters

Some authors are using characters again and again on their works, of course will little modification

First i noticed this is in Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys, i feel like i saw Johan there, but with longer hair haha..

Then Hiroya Oku use Chrono and Nishi (Gantz) in Inuyashiki with little modification. The latest characters are from Inio Asano, he use Midori and Seki (Oyasumi Punpun) in Umibe no Onnanoko

Well.. since they are coming from the same person, i see no problem here

Well, to be honest, I haven't seen or read any of those series, but I do agree that sometimes, these characters can be very similar.
Sai is very similar to Sasuke in Naruto

I think.. there is special reason to make them similar haha.. Sai is supposed to be substitute for Sasuke

Exactly
The same goes to Lee and might guy. Even Naruto and Boruto etc.

I never heard of such reusable characters before.
I think Sabo and Ace are such reusable characters for Oda.

You'll notice it when you follow certain author, there will be characters with lot of similarities, almost like reusing old character design

I haven't been following any author manga so far.
I will probably try to check out other manga of the same author

I don't do that.
I wouldn't want to be disappointed in that author. So, I don't follow that.
