I want some anime where the main character for some reason goes on a hiatus and then he/she comes back with a bang and amazes everyone in some field.
Like how fairy tail raises to the top by beating sabertooth....

Can you guys recommend something for me?

Fist of the North Star series fits your description perfectly, but I don't think want to watch it :D It fact, I am pretty sure you don't ^^
