So I've always heard good things about this series and with a very unique and interesting animation and art style to it, plus backed by the very wonderful musical style of Yuki Kajiura and others like Kalafina, I got to say this anime is extremely worth watching!
Part 1 comprises the first 8 episodes of the tv series and part 1 of the movie series, which both are the same which the tv shows has a bit more info while the movie is a lot more detailed in the art department. It shows how things get going in this series and how dark this series becomes, and it really takes the usual magical girl story lines, flip them upside down and make something great to watch.
