Not many main protagonist lost so far in battles.
Probably in Hunter x hunter anime, main protagonist lost a few battles when compared to other anime

I haven't watched a single episode of Pokemon but I'm guessing Ash loses a lot. And Gon doesn't win often either.

i do have to say ash does lose alot, so i am in total agreeance with Madara. to be honest i personally can't think of too many. hard for me to determine a loss, cause if it just means a temporary loss then sure lots have most likely lost some, can i name them all? Not really. but a more permanent loss then i got no idea nothing comes to mind.
