Promotion from Bronze to Gold

I don't really understand why Masami Kurumada keep insisting to stick Seiya and friends with Bronze cloth. They are already reach 7th sense equal to Gold Saints, so why are they still in the lowest rank?

Because of that's their identity? Well.. break it, re-write their identity. Maybe the image of Seiya of Pegasus Saint already burn into fans mind but something ground breaking as Seiya of Sagitarius Saint is more exciting and can give new fresh air and hype among fans

There are enough slot to promote them to Gold Saint, Seiya can take Sagitarius, Hyoga take Aquarius, Shiryu take Libra, Shun take Pisces and Ikki take Gemini, yea that would be nice

this is beyond what i have imagined and life is unfair in anime
