Which show do you think is the most popular? Why?

Do you watch a show just because it's popular or do you watch it just because you'll enjoy it?

As far as long anime are concerned, it has to be Dragonball or Pokemon..... While the show themselves may not be watched these days, and may not be as relevant as the likes of Naruto or One Piece, both of these are household names, and almost every kid from the 90's and the 2000's knows these shows..... As far as short anime are concerned, it has to be Death Note.... I mean, from both online and personal experience, most people who've watched anime(including myself) recommend this particular show to someone who is not familiar with anime.....

many anime are popular and it's not about one's preferences. now one punch man, attack on titan, one piece, dbz, boruto are like icing on the cake.
