Izumi and Ohta. They are funny team and often fight among themself, but anyway.. when we think about it they are perfect match to each other.

They are total opposite of each other. Ohta is powerful and brutal while Izumi technical and precise, Ohta is excellent marksman while Izumi good with close combat, Ohta is explosive while Izumi is more calm. Yes they are very different but their traits complement each other perfect match. Of course their teamwork is not always 100% work because of comedy aspect of this series or for the sake to give Izumi spotlight as main protagonist but basicly they are perfectly match.
 
i think they are a perfect match too.
but the main protagonist should always win which is the golden rule of anime.
so we can't be so sure

Been a long time since I watched this, I know it has gotten more adaptations, I'll have to check them out sometime.
