parents who neglect children in anime

those children can never have a good life and i have been watching too many anime and manga with parents who neglect their children. they have money problems, but they shouldn't neglect kids
 
I'm watching Toradora right now, and both the male lead and the female lead have issues with their fathers, that is, neglect.

many anime are having this. some parents don't even allow children to be in their homes which is very sad. or they beat them up badly to vent their anger
 
I think a lot of anime just cut out the parents and make up some reason why they're not there just because it opens up so much opportunity for the characters to not have to deal with their parents.

children can't grow up by themselves. if they are orphans then it's understandable but if it's not, and they are living alone still in middle school and in high school, then it's ridiculous.

I don't like this sort of behavior in any form, anime or otherwise. I mean it's not the kids fault that they are in the situation
 
It's either some preset issues or the series makers just don't want to mess with adult people. Much like in Ed Edd and Eddy.
 
I don't like parents abusing children. They will have everlasting scars and many get traumatized.
I never liked Fullmetal alchemist doctor who performed experiments on his wife and daughter.
 
There are bad people in this world. So of course, there are bad parents just like there are bad children.
But having bad parents takes the first place though . Usually in mainstream anime parents aren't acknowledged that much.
 
There is a thread somewhere about worst patents in anime.
All the worst characters are listed in it. Unfortunately, it is common and everyone got used to having mom caring parents in most of the anime.

I remember that thread as well.
I believe it's been posted by BurnsyCEO and the top rank went to the fullmetal alchemist parent who turned his daughter into a Chimera.
 
you mustn't have known about the novel.
i posted it somewhere and the king tried to kill his own son for nothing. he is not cruel but he wants to see his son dead
