Opposition to the Anime Hobby

Some people might not like anime.  Others might just see it as a bit odd.  Anyway, how do you deal with opposition from friends, family, and strangers?  Does it get to you - or do you ignore it?
 
Isn't it the same as along about anime haters? Why do you want to create a new thread for it? Depending on your reply, I will or will not merge this thread with other threads
 
No offense to anyone, but anime sort of reminds me of the gothic stuff I see back in the USA.  In other words, it seems to be the domain of misfits, not saying that in a bad way.

Not every anime has goth . I don't know what gave you that idea.
What did you watch?

that is offensive whether you mean it or not. you should choose your words when you are in an anime community. if you don't like anime, why are you here?
