One Piece

So, a while back my friend and I got into this discussion about One Piece (the treasure, not the show.) It came down to basically the following debate - is One Piece real? What I mean is this, do you think the treasure actually exists or is One Piece a metaphor for the journey which defines them as a pirate?

Without giving my thoughts on the matter, I want to know how you feel in regards to this topic as it's an interesting debate.

It would be fun if he did though... Imagine waiting for so many years to find out what it is, then just at the end of the last issue of the manga, they killed off Luffy, and the last manga panel was dark and said, "Luffy never found out what the One Piece was"... XD

Well, then, he'd need a lot of security from the police.........
