I resumed One Piece yesterday at episode 928 and had 11 episodes to catch up to which seemed like a daunting task. I watched a couple of episodes and the plot started picking up and then at 931, it just went into over-drive. This is probably the most efficient Oda has ever been in terms of story-telling, he's not falling into cliches and is resolving small plot elements left and right. So many characters and pieces that were introduced early on are falling into place and episode 939 looks like the beginning of a climactic event.
The animation is probably the best One Piece has ever been, with great amounts of Sakuga during every action scene. I admit sometimes it started dragging, especially from 928-930 and then in a few instances but it drastically reduced. Maybe this is me blowing it out of proportion, but this is probably the best One Piece has ever been.
