One Piece Manga break

I have heard that one piece anime was on hold for a year or so.
During that time, what happened to manga?

Just how come it was placed on hold? Due to lack of viewers? I am  a bit curious about the reason :D

Not in the least.
I wish I could get some cool information now and then from manga readers, but they are sharing nothing with me :(

Well, so far, there are no breaks in manga, as far as you know.

Err...There were the weekly break of course :p
or sometimes for 2 week...
But I don't remember more than that >.>
 
it is normal for op manga to have break every 4 weeks
it is to be expected
break is announced a week before at the end of a chapter

i don't know about the anime
