TBH, I detest these recent plot twists. BZ as the mastermind of war is just too hard to fathom for me. I'd say he should just end this by having Kaguya stumble over a rock and die instead of getting affected by such a basic jutsu. I wouldn't lie, I cracked up at that panel but never in my wildest imaginations did I expect THAT!
Ironically though, the state they were in warrants the actions they took. It's undeniable that when it comes to power, Kaguya easily outclasses both. Following the age old byword "whatever works" was worth a try I guess.
EDIT: The title of the chapter was spot on.
