Nara Shikamaru, one of the best character in Naruto

Shikamaru is my favorite character from Naruto. He's well developed and have some back story to enjoy. This guy persona is also good, he's calm, calculated, genius and at the same time he's an lazy ass shinobi, what's more? He's smoking, he break the rule of moral code for shonen protagonist, that's pretty badass.

To be honest.. Shikamaru didn't caught my attention at first, nothing really stand out from him. Everything change when the story progressed to the Chunin Exam when he fought that kunoichi from sound village. That was a surprisingly interesting match, Shikamaru win the fight mainly with his brain, since then his appearance always anticipated by me.

Luckily after that Shikamaru developed well by the author, from a genius shinobi to talented leader to a capable strategist, his personality also matured as the story progressed, something that even the main protagonist failed in the series. He also different in the term of genius, unlike Sasuke and Neji who get the typical boring kind of genius, Shikamaru is genius in term of intelligence, something that really mixed well with ninja-style fighting, that means his fighting will not affected by DBZ-style fighting (unlike some other over-powered characters).

I'm pretty satisfied from Shikamaru, his role in the series are good, he just need little bit of screentime, yup just little bit.
 
Very cool guy, and also has a lot of standout moments especially in Part 1. Unfortunately he's pretty much side-lined in Shippuuden after Asuma's death, like all other characters.

Well, his character development is very good, without a doubt. I haven't completed watching Naruto and dropped somewhere at the shinobi battle but from what I remember, his fights are always interesting

His fight is highly tactical, very interesting to watch
 
He's like one of the few characters that kishi actually developed properly during the Naruto series. I do hope we keep seeing more of him during Boruto.

i always thought there was a little attraction between them.
i like her and she is strong. she was never weak like sakura or ino

i don't like girls who are just there to look pretty.

Oh.. a 'female rambo' type, but i think.. damsel in distress type is kinda cute too

yes and i like the damsel in distress when they are little.
not when they have grown like a bull and still couldn't couldn't protect themselves. you know'em the types

they did but still they play second fiddle important fights and cower over fear.

i will end up killing them in less than a week.
or i wouldn't help them when they are in trouble crying out for help.

i don't give a damn.
i would have even accepted kids in my team but not then. they are completely useless and even kishimoto admitted that they were designed badly
