Musical anime without any back story

I have watched K-ON, love live, AKB0048 and other anime.
Most of the time, their plot is just mundane.

Don't need one. I like slice of life genre and whatever I've seen of K-On pretty much looks perfect. I plan to watch a lot of musical anime, K-On being one of them, along with Sound Euphonium, Sakamichi no Apollon and Beck.

all the songs are good and it's a slice of life genre. not many people liked that genre

That's not true man
Many people like slice of life genre. Even Clannad is very popular and it's of slide of life genre

No like I was thinking of watching it but I forgot that I was planning to and I instead chose Chuunibyou.

Yeah the first season is pretty funny and cute. I'd recommend it. Also KyoAni so the visuals are beautiful.

Yeah I'll definitely watch it, probably before the end of the year.
