i almost fell off my chair when i saw this in ann. what the fuk. how can sword art online be the most anticipated series this fall?

It is not as bad as you think and it's safe to say that many people still like it. I don't like it, if you are about to ask, but I don't hate sao

SAO is the biggest anime of the decade along with Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia and One Punch Man so it's not a surprise.
It sucks, yes, but it's popular. There are a lot of 12-year-old people who need wish-fulfillment after all.
I'll be watching it, yes, but I'm more looking forward to JoJo Part 5(even though I haven't watched parts 1-4).

I never liked Sao season 2 and I don't have many high hopes for season 3. I like when you said that 12 year olds needs to fulfill their wishes. But I rather watch a good New season of log horizon.

The author got into trouble with the Government with tax issues so we ain't getting a new volume of the novel or a new season. And I didn't like season 2, but in my opinion, season 1 is one of the most brilliantly return anime ever(or fiction, for that matter).

That sounds lame. Why can't clear up those tax issues faster? May be they are quite big and I never know the whole story. Season 1 is first it's genre and everyone was impressed man

Tax issues are serious things dude you may even get jailed for a long time.
Season 1 wasn't the first, it was one of the earliest, for sure. As for as MMORPG isekai are concerned, SAO and the .hack series came before.

I didn't expect them to be a huge issue which stops the entire publication. I don't know of this .hack series

I don't works get published if you have a criminal chargesheet against you unless you have a lot of clout. Akira Toriyama got into trouble as well but I don't think he faced a lot of issues.

I don't know who Akira is but that must not have been much. Even after fixing them, they are not allowed to publish. That's unfair.

He's the creator of Dragon Ball so he's like probably the most influential guy from the last three decades.

I didn't think it has a name to it. Only a few seasons and episodes have names to each and every episode and arc. I am partial to this. I will be watching this but I am not waiting for it like many people I know.

I should have just googled that name but I never thought of authors before. I should know about them as well but I only know of their works.

it didn't deserve to be at the top. it's just bad but i don't get why people like it. it might be first of it's kind to popular but that doesn't mean sh#t
