I've been a metalhead for almost ten years. My tastes are pretty varied, from Swedish heavy metal to Japanese black/thrash metal. I love a lot of bands from different parts of the world.

I'd rank my three favorite styles as power metal, heavy metal, and speed metal. I also love lots of old school variations of doom metal, death metal, black metal, and even thrash metal.
 
I just love metal and I never got into the sub genre thing. Metal is metal and I don't need to over complicate it. Waste of my poor brain cells LOL. Lately though what I have been listening to is Nu Metal.

My favorite band from high school years is Megadeth, with Anthrax a close second. Metallica got me kicked off Napster years ago so they can go jump in front of a bus, but I do still listen to their old old stuff.
 
Is Metallica a metal band? I have not heard songs belonging to foreign countries for a long time..............
