Does "kurushimi" mean "Christ" in Japanese?
 

Being someone who chats with Japanese folks for most of the time (most of which only know Japanese!), and having a YouTube channel with a huge audience coming from Japan (50% Japanese, 15% American, 35% everyone else), the answer would be yes.

I don't get why you used the word painful there.
How did you learn Japanese?
 

The best way to learn is really by jumping in deep waters straight away, and refrain yourself from using any other language for most of the time for some time.
Sounds extreme, but it'll really bring you to fluency quick.
