Manga Books or Manga Graphic Novels?

Which do you prefer? Manga as books (In novel form) or Manga in the form of a graphic novel?

As a newbie into the world, I prefer graphic novels as they are easier to understand!

Hmm... probably he means normal manga with pictures and novel with only texts and only few pics.

Anyway, if I understand right then answer to the topic: nothing is better than one another (mostly I answer like this for most comparison questions). It depends on different people, Different people have different preferences so even if someone said they like picture manga better, it doesn't mean you will feel the same. So instead it is more like about "which one do you prefer?", "which one gives you the most pleasantry when you read?"

I am not so sure about normal manga anymore. May be I would pick a manga as they have more pictures, when compared to plain novels.
 
Personally I prefer mangas with pictures. I've grown up with them since childhood and I cannot get used to the novel style in which I have to read tons of texts and imagines what happen.
 
that's kind of an apples-and-oranges comparison

light novels (novellas with illustrations) run through a different aesthetic compared to straight-up manga (basically comics)

Many people prefer pictures over text anime time. Do you prefer to real novels rather than manga?
