Manga better starter than anime?

Hey!

So being new to the anime and manga world, I wondered which is best, anime or managa, for a newbie into the world?

I would recommend anime because you can actually see things but you can always go for manga, if you can't get enough of anime. I do that.
So, try anime first and as a newbie myself, I would recommend seirei no moribito, one piece, akame ga kill anime to you. Let me know if you think they are okay or not.
 
I would recommend anime to start. It's easier to watch, it gets you use to Japanese, and you can track trends/ideas. Then when you get to manga you'll already know what to look for. For example I started reading manga when my anime series we're not moving fast enough. At that time Naruto and Bleach was miles ahead of their anime series. Recently in the past year I've decided my manga series are not moving fast enough either! So I started reading light novels. So you'll get there. Right now I track anime, manga, and light novels and I keep them all conveniently on my tablet.

They had some trouble with Bleach anime catching up to manga too fast. So they are waiting for itto end to take up the project again
 
As far as short works are concerned, watch anime, but, sometimes, the studio may mess up the anime.... So, just check if the anime follows the manga closely(by reading a couple of reviews), and then go for it... For long ones, I prefer anime, but, well, they do have their problems.... I hope you are familiar with the concept of fillers....

They're on mark then as Bleach ended several weeks ago.
