Kurapika from hunter x hunter character discussion

Do you believe that Kurapika deserve some decent screen time? Do you think he should let go of his revenge?
 
I found his character interesting. I do want more screen-time for him, and hope they give him his do in the future. As far as revenge is concerned, I don't want him to completely drop it, because it's an important aspect of his character.

He couldn't bring himself to extract revenge when his friends lives are on the line. So he can control the urge. So what's the point in becoming a murderer?

That's a good question. But, all I'm saying is that they shouldn't completely do away with him having vengeance on the Phantom Troupe.

Perhaps, they should be, but by whom? Kurapika killing them would mean he would be consumed by vengeance. I don't think 'Governments' in this Universe are powerful enough for that.

Then gon executed pitou quite cruelly. How would you explain that?

Senpai, even I thought it was unfair for gon to do the killing for revenge but he didn't want kurapika to do the same. Gon was selfish and he killed pitoe cruelly and mercilessly.

And, I do agree that he was a hypocrite. But, seeing Pitou get killed like that was... satisfying.
 
Loyalty is a great virtue. But, PItou is not just driven by loyalty, but also by fear and servitude. Plus, loyalty doesn't give you bonus points if you do evil deeds.

That's hypocrisy. For ants we were just food. If a chicken ask you to live what would you do? Mankind is no different than chimera ants

Technically, I get bonus points, because I don't eat chicken or any other non-vegetarian food, including stuff like egg.

The thing is Pitou is part-human, which means she is infused with human traits, or at least she knows, like morality, etc. So, technically, from a human stand-point, she committed murder. I do agree that what Gon did was not right.

I never said that she deserved it, and even if I did, that does not make me a hypocrite, because she got what was coming for her.
