Keeping useless character

Again.. about Captain Tsubasa series. It's funny how the author keep a useless character Ishizaki just because he's the best friend of the main protagonist

From what i see it's not mandatory to keep comical character like that, it's not like he give somekind of importance to the story, he's just a background character most of the time, and it's not like Japan team lacking in sideback position. Looking at how Akira Toriyama gradually dump Krillin in DBZ.. this is something that Yoichi Takahashi should do, Ishizaki is just like Krillin, a best friend of the main protagonist that lose relevancy as the story went by

But oh well.. for some reasons, looks like the author still want to keep Ishizaki for a while, which is suck lol

I never really thought of Krillin as useless, but now that you mention it....

He stop contributing after Namec saga lol
 
And sometimes they become foundations for other things, like how Speedwagon was handled in Jojo. Useless, but influenced the entire series.
