Why you didn't impressed with the story?
i am just not impressed lol
going to a trip with just 9 boys and girls. if there are all age groups, it would have been a little realistic. now it looks forced shonen anime to me.

lol do you think it's realistic when bunch of students just escape to some outer space?
it doesn't make any sense even if it's a futuristic world and usually teachers or some adults would be there to help them out.

Okay. Well.. basicly anime was made for kids and teens no matter if it's seinen or shonen, so having kids and teens characters is a must, and having adults as main characters is taboo for some series
lol when you put it that way, i can't say lol
there are some anime i would never recommend to kids and not even to teens but yeah the main focus is on younger generation

The basic formula is like this : "you must make character that relatable to the audience", most anime's main character is kids or teens, so you can actually guess who is the target audience here

most of the anime fans are younger audience but half of the anime fans are in their 20s and above lol
