Today i was recommended and anime to a guy..

Yea he was asking to recommend him a good anime to watch, then i recommend him Perfect Blue, i think that one is good enough to recommended to people.

Then he said ' hey it's and old anime from 1998.. i want the newer one' oh well.. it's okay i guess, but it's kinda funny to classified good and bad from the time the anime was produced. A good anime, just like manga, movie, video game, song are timeless. 

I can understand maybe he got taste for newer visual graphic but then again it's better to widen our perspective and watch something outside our usual every once in a while.
 
Old anime are good man but they are not very pleasant to look at.
You could have asked him to watch death note. It's everyone's first choice to recommend anime to a new guy
 
never heard of perfect blue before.
you must always recommend very good anime at first like death note or code geass and they would turn into anime fans

He's already watch it. And he's not really new because he said he already watch most of popular series

He already watch it, and that guy is not actually first timer so i recommend him something different

I watched Perfect Blue, and it was indeed great, although I probably wouldn't recommend it to everyone to start off with, on account of it being rather heavy. It's definitely something you have to be in the mood for, at least. Also, wasn't PB from 1997?

There are many overlooked anime man.
Ask him to watch vampire knights, one outs, haikyuu, slam dunk, lie in april
