Is it foolish of me dreaming to own an individual house someday?

I am not fond of apartments and I want only the freehold houses.
So, is it a bit foolish to dream of owning a house... As The houses are just too expensive? I was talking to my friend yesterday... And she called me a fool to purchase something in this day and age ;_;

not entirely foolish if you have the means to do it.
but if you don't have enough and can never earn enough to get it in your lifetime, then yes it's foolish

Never foolish to want something. I would love to get a house and maybe one day that will happen. Who knows?
