Is being an anime fan for over a decade, rare?

I have started watching anime pretty recently
But Clara started it life a decade ago and I believe she still likes anime, even now. Do you think that's rare? Or is it normal?
 
It’s not unusual. In America, it’s been popular since the 90’s, so it’s not rare to see people who have been in it for 20+ years.
 
it's not rare for me
i don't think it is too rare for anyone. if you like anime, that's all good and it's not going to be boring
 
outside of Japan back in the 80s, 90s and 2000s would have been, but these days not so much. On my way to three decades myself.
 
I know some people who watch the anime and read manga in their age of 30s, 40s and even after that. So I don't think its abnormal or something.

Fairly new.. well keep that way, just like Clara, i think you'll enjoy this hobby for long period of time
