Insect?

I have been thinking a lot about insects lately. Personally, I have been thinking about insects and which one would be my favorite. So I actually have an answer! My answer would be none. I dislike insects so much, I don't have a favorite, but if I had to choose I would say a lady bug, because it's harmless. 
So, what is your favorite insect and why?
 
There are lots of different names for the ladybug. In the UK we call it a ladybird. In a region of the UK they call it a bishybarnabee - not sure why :D

The most common species of ladybird in Britain is the seven-spot ladybird. This bright red ladybird has seven spots and is thought to have inspired the name ladybird: "Lady" referring to the Virgin Mary (Our lady) who in early paintings is seen wearing a red cloak; the seven spots are symbolic of the seven joys and seven sorrows of Mary.

So there are some ladybird facts for you ;)

I don't have any insects that I like more than others really. I suppose butterflies rather than spiders...
 
lady bug I actually do like, along with fire flys. Outside of those, I don't like them and they can stay outside where they belong.
 
Butterflies I suppose. Grasshoppers also, and dragonflies. They are all very beautiful creatures, and I actually have a photo collection of htese insects. Let me go through the tons of my photos and I'll choose something to share over here.
 
I would probably have to go with lady bird as I feel they are the ones I can actually tolerate. Butterflies are another as well but any other insects and I can honestly say I am not too keen.

Do you mean lady bug or is lady bird another term for them?
