Hyunkel of Dragon Quest

This guy is my favorite character in Dragon Quest : Adventure of Dai

First of all.. of course his design is super cool! Good looking swordsman in evil looking armor, yup he's my dude on the series. And looks like this guy is the most 'tasty' character from all the protagonist, he was raised by monster, becoming Avant's student with intent to kill him, top swordsman that become leader of Undead brigade on devil army, honorable guy that treasure loyalty and friendship, yea.. this guy is sooo rich

Talk about ability, this guy is also awesome, when he  was leader of Undead brigade his ability is already surpassed supreme commander Hadora, on an occasion he can stand his ground against Baran the Dragon Knight, even the Legendary swordsman from devil world uh.. (i forget his name) acknowledge his skill to be on par with him

But unfortunately his role in the last arc is somehow lacking.. i'm not too sure why but i think it's to give stage for 2 other characters (i forgot their name). Anyway i still like this guy

he wanted to learn from someone he wanted to kill? i can't imagine that and may be he gave up on it later?

Yes, to Avant is the Hero with high skill, to kill him Hyunkel need to pretend to become his student. Well he didn't have up, just failed

that's so sad
i thought he was genuinely interested in learning skill but i didn't think he would just be pretending to like it

He did learnt some skills from Avant, that's why he's very skilled with sword
