How much is your manga collection worth?

I currently don’t have any manga books however I have always wondered if there was a collection side to it.
How much is your manga collection worth? Do you have any rare manga book that is worth a lot of money?
 
Personally i only have a few. A couple of Naruto volumes, couple of Pokemon. The Death Note series (black edition) a deluxe edition Berserk and some other bits but they're not worth too much
 
If I do, I sure as hell haven’t been keeping up with the price, because I just bought them at regular retail.

I feel like there has to be a market in manga..
 
for sure, i imagine it's like Vinyl's.. if you have the original releases of big ones like Dragon Ball, Naruto etc they'll be worth a lot

First prints of anything that is popular always go up decently over time. =)

Sometimes the popularity can also cause the value to be pretty low. If it was popular when it came out, there’s tons of copies floating around.

Usually it’s a mix between popularity and lack of copies for the price to be high.

I have vinyl records, so for example, an original press of a popular 80’s album is basically “worthless”, so they’re dirt cheap to collect. Original pressing of a popular 90’s artist? Whoo boy. Vinyl was dead in the 90’s, so that’s why they’re worth a lot more now.

Cult status is also a cause for high collector prices, because it has the perfect mix of demand, and lack of commercial success.

Nope, not games either. Mostly medical costs, as well as two large care packages I send each year to my girlfriend and best friend overseas.

that's really so kind of you and not everyone spends so much money for health of their loved ones i am sure.
 
I do have some out of print manga sets Steel Angel kurumi is one but I have no idea if they are worth anything I bought them because I love the series.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I too downloaded Mangatoon now. It's good to have digital copies, i can read it anywhere when I get time. ?
