How do you support anime as a fan?

i am a silent supporter lol and i only recommend anime to others usually when they are into it

When I get something, I try to get them from the genuine online stores.

I buy series on blu-ray/dvd and its merch sometime. Also write fanfiction to spread the word.

Anime that excites me, I'll live and breath it. You'll get sick and tired of hearing about Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha coming from my lips all the time! LOL I did the same thing with Ah! My Goddess and Tenchi Universe.
