How do you accept hate for an anime you love?

it's not easy for me lol
and i don't get why people need to criticize everything and i don't know how to hold back, if it's an anime i like.
 
The blunt answer is to just get over it, because people like and dislike different things. A series you dislike is someone else’s favorite show.

So why is it okay for you to have your feelings get hurt when someone says a series like, idk, Skip Beat is trash, but it’s totally acceptable to trash talk Gintama?

Also there’s nothing wrong with criticizing things. How are things supposed to evolve and get better if we can’t criticize things?

may be but do they still need to criticize that knowing we like that anime? i can't get used to that.
and i am trying my best to hold back but i can snap too

I don’t see why it has to matter who’s in the room? You’re really just saying you can’t handle criticism.

what is they are purposely provoking you? knowing that you like the series a lot?
wouldn't you get this strange feeling to criticize their favorite anime as well?

If they explicitly say something like “you don’t get an opinion because you watch garbage like Skip Beat” that’s definitely provoking you. If you’re reading a thread and someone just drops “I thought Skip Beat was pretty trash” that means you need to get over yourself.

'people who likes this anime doesn't have good taste' that's how they use the words
and it's not like they are targeting me directly but i am yet involved.

Like whatever you want. I see lots of people slagging on Akame Ga kill but i just don't listen to them

they are just not used to too many deaths gem. but i am sure they are not insulting people who watch that anime. right?

Yeah, a comment like that is bashing someone, but there’s a difference between that and just simply saying that show sucks.

yeah and if it's about show alone, i can try to hold back but this type of bashing is hard. and yet some people can turn a deaf ear to that
and i want to learn how they do it.

To be honest, i think i like it so much because it was one of the first anime i watched. Maybe if i was to watch it for the first time after watching so many i wouldn't like it so much

Some people are just assholes, so you just ignore them. Getting irritated gives them more power because they know what they’re saying gets to you.

but it's still a cool anime and the impression it made, is enough for you to get into anime and that's really cool
 
Personally, I don't care about other people's views on any anime that I love, in fact their opinions doesn't matter as far as I'm concerned.
