With Karasuno needing more experience, we get the usual training arc in the series that can be seen in other shounen anime. One new sub-plot is Shimizu trying to find a new manager, and she selects Yachi, who's kind of a wimp but she's suitably cute so she doesn't come off has annoying, plus it's established that she's pretty intelligent. The episodes so far basically focus on the fact that the current team is kinda disjoint, and weak and can't hope to compete at higher levels, so each prominent member of the cast focus on developing new skills. Hinata and Kageyama are intent are improving their fast attack, Tsukishimi with him becoming more passionate about his game and improving his blocking, etc. The series as always is incredibly fast paced and exciting to watch but it's still a training arc so I'm looking forward to when they actually full hone their skills(or master whatever they are trying to do) and perform them in the tournament.
