Getting back into watching anime

How does someone get back into watching anime if they haven't watched anime in a long time? Would you have any advice for people who want to get back into anime despite not having watched it for several years?
 
Well, the answer to your question is very simple: Just find at least one anime that perfectly reflects your tastes and desires and whose plot will capture your heart, and that's it, my friend!
I also stopped watching anime due to school and friends for 7 months or so on, and I restarted watching to anime thanks to another cool anime I found.

Or there's another solution: Are you sure you watched to all of the OVAs, OAVs, ONAs, Specials and Fillers of all the animes you watched so far? You could restart little by little, day after day, with that!
I'm sure this way it won't take so long to make you restart watching to animes as in old times.

many anime specials, and ovas are bad. they are like mood spoilers to an anime and i wouldn't recommend that to a person who wanted to get back into watching anime
