what's a good enough genuine fan service according to you?
it shouldn't be too much and it shouldn't be too less focused too. do you have any anime in mind for that?

excessive fan service which is not relevant only for the rating is not genuine to me

That doesn’t not make it fanservice. Opinions don’t disprove a set definition.

There’s lots of things in anime and Fairy Tail that don’t make sense. You can chalk it up to “it’s a fantasy”.

lol and here is what my opinion is.
fan service at a beach is genuine but in a battle is forced and not genuine.

That doesn’t not make it fanservice. Whether or not you like it doesn’t change the definition. That’s not how opinions work.

lol that's pretty blunt
but take 'free!' for example and even thought it's a sports anime, most guys don't like it because of the fan girls and all of that is swimming anime. and it can't be helped but it's all about opinions lol and i don't think i am making much sense here

Tbh part of the reason why straight guys didn’t care for it is the gay undertones, and the camera angles on the water running down their 24 pack abs showed it was definitely catered at girls. I’m not expecting straight girls to watch To Love Ru because of all the fanservice obviously catered to guys.

i am sure that's how it is and you see a lot of skin in beach too. lol

when you said water droplets dripping from the abs, i got your point. and you are right but i don't think it's got the same amount of fan service as that of a beach episode lol
may be i am being biased.
