I believe functional knowledge plays a major role too and not just technical knowledge. Right now, I am facing so many problems as I didn't get any kt from my seniors :(

Anyway what do you guys think? @TechnicalSuwako @Davis
You too are the only people I know who knows technical stuff. So...

What do you mean by technical knowledge? Like training and knowing stuff about technology?

Could you explain what you mean by both?

Uhh...I am gonna take my work example here. My work involves forms, reports, workflows, plsql solds etc... That's what we call technical stuff here.
As for the functional knowledge, we use the above stuff somewhere for work right? So responsibilities, process flow, ... Well to work with it....

Nah....I am just a developer and that to a beginner with just one role change from trainee to an actual position.
Manager position requires many years of experience

i don't get your post at all but the person who does the real work is the best

Hmm.. Nope.. You can't do anything without functional knowledge but with just technical knowledge... It's the same... So you need both I suppose ^^

Huh? I know basic hacking techniques but I never used them or wanted to experiment on them..I value my privacy and that's why I value others privacy as well

I am curious about your answer technical suwako. What do you prefer ? Or what is the knowledge that you have. I assume it's technical knowledge right?

Since I'm normally on my own, I need to rely on both actually.
Functional to get to the end of the project, and technical to get the project done at all.

it's actually just a title, not actual manger at least here in the states. A Project manger or management is a team of people who outline and setup a scope for the company to complete any project they have in mind.

looks like a complicated job. do you always get more projects

I work in an office, but the programming department literally consists of 2 employees and 1 intern.
The intern is learning from scratch, and the 2 of us have each our own projects to work on at the moment.
We used to have 2 more programmers a half year ago, but these 2 together never managed to finish anything for 2 years, while I get my work done alone, and the other programmer gets his work done alone.

I technically run my own brands too with each their own projects, but I usually leave those for weekends.

That's really cool. Do you own your office or do you work from home?
Working yourself must have been hard
