For some reason, I can't really believe this even now.

Even though he wasn't as powerful as luffy, even though he was fighting with many soldiers, he should have held his ground. It's not really good to see him go down like that. Also, he didn't even defeat that donflamingo's family member

In other words, he didn't do anything except keeping those soldiers busy(that's the plan) but he was supposed to meet usopp and robin after he achieved his goal, but now, someone must rescue him. 
What is your opinion about this situation guys? For me, it looks pretty dire and needs some immediate action.
