I used to question why Evangelion use this song for the ending song (well it's totally okay for me since i'm very fond of old song), so i try to think and find out about the song..

I'm pretty sure i've posted about the origin of life in Evangelion series, yes it's Adam and Lilith, the moon as we know is the egg of them, with Black Moon as egg of Lilith and White Moon as egg of Adam, in other words.. they are the origin of life 

Then the title of the song is Fly Me To The Moon, fly to the moon means we are coming to the moon, to the origin of life, it's a reference to the human instrumentality project, which aim is to reset humanity to beginning and re-live as another united new entity

Well this is just what i thought, i could be wrong haha..
 
A lot of things that Evangelion did back in the day was odd to say the least. But it was a beautiful song none the less.
 
I haven't watched this anime yet but it's been sitting in my like, for a very long time now
I will have to at least listen to this song first

This is a popular song, even Frank Sinatra sing it. And Star, you need to watch this series, it's very good

Thank you for the recommendation. I will certainly watch it very soon. I have been watching Sangatsu no lion as of now

I suppose the manga chapter count wouldn't scare you off but it's different with episode count
 
but star give it a try
there are many interesting ones that can give you a temporary ending which is good enough to imagine the story
 
Not many people like the series which gives off that aura
That includes me as well, I would want a good ending.

people shouldn't like bad endings so much and it leaves a horrible after taste for me and i always prefer happy endings
