I don't remember an anime like that, in my sake. Is that the same for you? Remembering an anime character name is different from knowing that anime character name. Something like L from Death note.

Seriously, I believe that this can only happen when you aren't actually really into the particular anime that you are watching because there is no way I would devote hours to one and never know the characters involved.
