Ever use a soukanzu?

Never heard of it till now.
I don't think I can remember the entire story of one piece starting from episode 1. Guess this would be a nice way to recall and follow the plot of long running anime.

For a anime like One piece or something like Hunter X Hunter, I would love to see the artists notes on how they keep track of it all.

Me too. I don't think they would be able to memorize everything just like that and it's been going on for almost 15 years or so, it would be hard to even represent it in a graphical way.

I sure do, only for Hunter x Hunter though. The latest arc is kinda amazing in its complexity, and a lot of the theory material is hidden in all these character relations and allegiances, so the charts help a lot.

Funny how they used HxH chart in the article : D In my experience these things are just called infographics, never heard word "soukanzu" being used.

I imagine soukanzu is just the japanese way of saying infographic or something along that lines. A person just learns something new everyday.

i didn't know that that existed and it's good to see authors struggling for the storylines too. there is too much going on in every anime

So it's like an infograph for an anime? I'm not a fan of that idea so no thank you. When I watch anime I just take it for what it is and I watch it in the moment. Some can be really hard to follow because they jump all over the place, but I wouldn't sit there and try to analyze the heck out of the show. That's too deep. Just watch every episode like a movie. You only need to follow the current episode you're watching instead of trying to link episodes together. Much more fun that way.
