In anime they are not limited to them alone.

I’ve seen quite a few ecchi stuff, and I have found ones that are entertaining instead of trying to be borderline porn.

I've always considered fan service as just randomly inserting boobs and butts and whathaveyou where they really aren't needed, just to draw in more fans. Ecchi has always seemed more like actually trying to do funny stuff with what would otherwise be fan service, and also just being a decent series with a proper story besides that. Food Wars is ecchi imo, and I keep laughing my butt off with it. XD

I’d have the complete reverse if we’re talking about actual quality, though I wouldn’t consider it fair to compare porn to shows that are “trying” to be entertaining, seeing as porn is primarily used for... other purposes. Porn doesn’t need to have a deeper plot than having the pizza delivery guy showing up.

I didn't think of actual plot while giving that order. I was just thinking of how the 'entertainment' is dished out.
