I don't know what to make out of donflamingo's words.
He said "my mother died when I was eight and I killed my father when I was ten".
Do you really think, a ten year old child can kill his own father?

As for me, that's nearly impossible.
So, I bet it has something to do with the rumors and may be he is partly responsible for his father's death.
