Does the anime industry benefit more from dvd/blueray sales or from licensing ?

does the anime industry benefit more from licensing from video streaming sites?
and i think licensing is better as not many would buy the dvds much these days. what do you all think?

but video streaming is not cheap too and there are many people who subscribe to them too

A lot of the subscription fees go to maintenance of the servers and networking.
