Does anyone else notice that anime kids in most dubs don't actually sound real?

Does anyone else notice that anime kids in most dubs don't actually sound like real kids at all?
I am sure all the voice actors are usually adults and that makes sense now. So, what do you guys think?

They don't sound like real kids either. Still, I can't say that for sure as I don't watch dubs all that much these days

I’m talking about the Japanese version being adults. They dub over the audio, hence why I said Japanese dub.

Anime voice overs are done backwards from most Western animation. So in American cartoons, they record the voices first, then animate the characters based on the voice acting. Anime is animated first, then they record the voices. So that’s why it’s called dubbing when you do the voices after stuff is filmed or animated.
 
well, that's riight lol
and they sound weird if you ask me but that's fine with many people and that should be fine too.
